Branch Information: The Central Branch is the main resource centre for the Library system and has many specialized collections and services, as well as an excellent general collection. The Central Branch occupies 48,222 square feet of the Waddington Building complex. This facility also houses the Administration Services Office.more info

Greater Victoria Public Library - Emily Carr Branch
The Emily Carr Branch (formerly Saanich-Victoria Branch) was the first branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library system, opening in 1966 in the Town and Country Shopping Centre. In 1972, the branch relocated to the 3500 Blanshard Street location and in 1999 was renamed after the famous author and artist Emily Carr. The branch relocated to the Uptown complex in January 2014.more info

The Juan de Fuca Branch, opened in December 1997, was designed by Marshall & Garyali architects and built by Mailey Developments. The total size of the Branch is 19,000 square feet and is adjacent to the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre. more info

The Oak Bay Branch, originally opened in December 1971, was designed by Wagg & Hambleton and built by E.J. Hunter & Sons. Tony James of Warner James Architects designed the newly expanded and renovated Branch officially opened to the public on October 7, 1999.more info
Greater Victoria Public Library - Saanich Centennial Branch
The Saanich Centennial branch opened Sept. 2007. The branch is a partnership between the Greater Victoria Public Library and the Municipality of Saanich and provides a library and Saanich Archives in a shared facility. This provides opportunities for library staff and archives staff to work together to enhance services to the public.more info
