Island Community Mental Health (formerly Capital Mental Health Association)

Island Community Mental Health provides support, activity groups, coaching services, and employments services for adults with mental illness. Programs include:

  • G.R.O.W (Gateway to Resources and Options for Wellness) is a psychosocial rehabilitation program that promotes wellness and community integration for adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness
  • Young Adult Engagement Project (YAEP) offers programming relevant to young adults in recovery
  • The BRIDGE Centre is an activity-based program for people with mental illness and cognitive

challenges, held three times a week

  • Seniors’ Support Network is an activity-based day program for seniors aged 55+ who are experiencing mental health issues and are living on their own or with a spouse in the community
  • Alzheimer’s Support Program is an activity- based day program for individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia
